WELCOME TO
Sweet Roots Kitchen. From the fields of Merced… straight to your table, without waste.
I grew up here, surrounded by farmland and fresh produce that, ironically, rarely made it to our own table. Years later, after working in large-scale food processing, I decided to return to my roots.
What started as a temporary idea became a lifelong mission.
Sweet Roots Kitchen was born to bridge the gaps — between farms and cities, between waste and need, between farmers and the community.
Here, we cook with what others leave behind: imperfect, misshapen, or “unmarketable” produce that’s still full of flavor and nutrients.
We’re more than just a kitchen:
At Sweet Roots Kitchen, every sweet potato pie, salad, or parfait has a story to tell: a story of the land, of real people, and of food made with care.
Because we believe eating well doesn’t have to be complicated, expensive, or perfect. It just has to be real.
